Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, stated on Thursday that prices for petroleum goods will be reduced by up to Rs 10 per liter for the upcoming two weeks.
Following price reductions of Rs. 10 and Rs. 7.5 per liter, gasoline and diesel will now be sold for Rs. 214.80 and Rs.
Dar explained in a video message that the choice was made to give the “greatest assistance to the people” as per Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s wishes.
He further stated that the price of kerosene oil and light diesel oil had been further decreased to Rs171.83 and Rs169 per liter, respectively, after a decrease of Rs10 per liter.
It should be remembered that on November 30, the government cut the price of kerosene oil and light diesel oil by Rs. 10 per liter and Rs. 7.5 per liter, respectively, while maintaining the price of gasoline and diesel.
