According to local sources who spoke to The Express Tribune, unidentified gunmen killed TTP commander Bismillah alias Asadullah Pehelwan near Spin Boldak in Kandahar.
According to the reports, Pehelwan, 35, belonged to the extremist group’s militant arm and traveled to Kandahar to evade target killing with others.
Unknown shooters fled the scene after killing the well-known Taliban commander.
Another fighter, Mudasir Iqbal, who is from Sialkot in the Punjab region, was captured by unidentified gunmen a few days ago; his body was discovered today by the side of the road.
The terrorist known as Mudasir claimed in a video that he was one of the terrorists in the APS school attack.
TTP commander Maulvi Abdullah was seriously hurt in a targeted strike earlier this month in the Afghan region of Kunar.
According to sources who spoke with The Express Tribune, the former chief justice of the Bajaur tribal district was seriously injured while he was inside a car as a consequence of an improvised explosive device (IED) attack.
A bystander was killed in the attack, along with the driver of the car and two of Abdullah’s assistants who were inside.
The TTP commander, his two assistants, and the driver were transported to an unknown place where they will get medical care, and it is said that their condition is severe.
According to the sources, the explosion occurred in Kunar province’s Marawara district.
