In a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the security forces in the Nurar area of Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, three terrorists were killed, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday. During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the terrorists and the security forces, resulting in the killing of all three militants. The ISPR statement further revealed that the terrorists were involved in anti-state activities, targeting the security forces and innocent civilians. The ISPR also reported the recovery of weapons and ammunition during the operation.
The locals of the Nurar area have appreciated the security forces’ efforts and extended their support to the elimination of the terrorism menace from the region. The security forces have increased their operations against militants across the country in response to the surge in terror activities. Just a week ago, the security forces killed eight terrorists, including a commander, in an IBO in South Waziristan’s Shin Warsak area.

In another IBO, security forces killed two terrorists and arrested one in the Mach area of Bolan district on Sunday. Similarly, on April 8, the security forces conducted operations in Waziristan and killed two terrorists in separate gun battles.
