The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that at least two terrorists were killed and one was apprehended during an intelligence-based sanitisation operation in Mach, Balochistan. The operation was initiated on April 7 to intercept a group of terrorists operating in the area, who were linked with targeting civilians and extorting money from coal mine owners. The security forces laid multiple ambushes based on credible information along the routes frequented by the terrorists for the last two days, resulting in the interception of three terrorists moving towards their hideout. When blocked, they opened fire on the security forces, leading to an exchange of fire. Two terrorists were killed, and one was arrested during the operation. The ISPR also reported that a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists.

A clearance operation is currently underway to nab the remaining accomplices. The Pakistan Army is determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability, and progress in Balochistan. In March, three terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by the security forces in the general area south of Awaran, Balochistan. The terrorists were linked with firing and improvised explosive device incidents along Turbat Awaran Road and surrounding areas. During the ensuing heavy exchange of fire, all three terrorists were killed, and a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.

The security forces have been conducting intelligence-based operations against terrorists and militants in Balochistan, which has been plagued by insurgency, targeted killings, and sectarian violence for decades. The province is strategically important due to its vast natural resources, including minerals, oil, and gas. The security situation has improved in recent years due to the efforts of the security forces, but the militants continue to pose a threat to peace and stability in the region. The government has been implementing various measures to address the grievances of the Baloch people, who have long felt marginalized and deprived of their rights. The development of infrastructure, provision of basic services, and promotion of economic activities are some of the steps being taken to address the issues faced by the people of Balochistan. The security forces will continue to work towards maintaining peace and stability in the province, and the nation stands in solidarity with them in this endeavor.
