Pakistan captain Babar Azam will play in the Ramadan cricket competition in Lahore, while he is presently resting during the Afghanistan T20 International series.
In a press conference on Friday, event director Salman Butt, a former Test cricketer, said that the one-of-a-kind Ramadan tournament will feature numerous national stars.
According to sources, Babar will be the captain of the Ghani Institute of Cricket (GIC) in the event. Shadab Khan, Hussain Talat, Usama Mir, and Abbas Afridi will also be in his squad.
Khawar Properties’ representatives will include Hassan Ali, Asif Ali, Arshad Iqbal, Mir Hamza, Haseebullah, and Irfan Niazi. Imam-ul-Haq and Bilal Asif will be in Karachi Warriors, while Ihsanullah, Salman Ali Agha, Umaid Asif, Tayyab Tahir, and Azam Khan will be in Ghani Glass.
The Blackstone Bahadurs will be represented by Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Amir, and Aamer Yamin. H.B. Lal’s cast includes Usman Qadir, Waqas Maqsood, Aamir Jamal, and Salman Irshad.
Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Umar Akmal will work for Eshal Associates, whilst Mohammad Irfan and Ahsan Ali will work for the Center of Excellence. Imran Butt, Bilawal Bhatti, and Abid Ali will be on Team Raja Sahib.
A competitive event will feature as many as nine teams. The event’s schedule will be finalized shortly. Players from Pakistan’s match against Afghanistan will return to Lahore for the tournament.
Pakistan and Afghanistan’s three-match Twenty20 International series will conclude on March 27. Afghanistan defeated Pakistan in the first Twenty20 International on March 24, taking a 1-0 series lead.
